A group of high school students, who aren’t the brightest marbles in the bunch, send a letter to the president about what is wrong with the educational system. The president enjoys the letter and invites the kids to Washington to discuss it.
I think this movie is pretty funny from start to finish, plus you have Kevin McDonald (Kids In The Hall, Invader Zim, etc.) as the Star Trek-crazed crossing guard chasing after the two main characters of the movie after they insult him when they ask him for directions. You also have Tommy Chong as the bus driver, which is kind of hard to argue about funny when he is cast in anything stoner related. Even Matt Frewer portraying the principal is pretty damn funny, just his character’s reactions alone are priceless.
The humor in this film is pretty much the raunchy, stoner kind of comedy. A group of teens goes to (insert place here), things get out of hand, and then things work out in the end…well, sort of.
Favorite scene is where the group of misfits spike some chocolate balls and give it to their teacher/chaperone who is sharing the same room with the principal.
If I had to watch a stoner film that was actually funny I will go with this movie over that borefest Dazed and Confused any day. At least Senior Trip had more going on than the boring dialog ridden Dazed and Confused. Senior Trip isn’t exactly a comedy masterpiece, but it definitely isn’t boring or trying to be a third-rate American Graffiti.

Never heard the expression ‘a stoner film’ but it says a lot! I think it’s a great concept for a film – you know, the president ACTUALLY inviting them in, with their ideas!!
They do something like it when they go from school to school to talk to students. Whether or not they listen is up to them.
