The crew of the USS Palamino is alerted of a nearby black hole, as they pass near it they discover a ship that is defying the pull of the black hole. When the crew boards they are met with an all-robotic crew and a rather eccentric scientist who is in command.
Out of the live-action Disney films I would say The Black Hole is my favorite under Tron. Especially since I like epic Space Opera types of Science Fiction films, shows, stories, and novels. As well as for how dark this movie is for a Disney film in theme.
One thing I have to admit about this Space Opera is that although I do like the film it would be the one that I wouldn’t be too heartbroken if it was remade. Maybe do like with Tron and have a continuation made. The only thing that would suck I know they would end up remodeling V.I.N.C.E.N.T. and B.O.B.

So many things I have never seen…..
Black Hole is kind of an obscure movie, especially for a Disney title. I am pretty sure no one remembers Condor Man or some of the other movies they have made outside of Herbie and a few other titles.
Oh my. There is so much I do NOT know. I barely get to the main stream movies, let alone the obscure ones.
You’ve been busy, Michael. You must have such a collection!!
I have a collection. Big? Not sure, I just write about those that I have seen and like whether I own them or not.
I can’t remember but there was another aircraft carrier one that went back to WW II.
Was it kind of a sci-fi one where they go through some kind of worm-hole or something like that? It sounds very familiar, and I think is one I have seen as well.
A well chosen movie my friend, a classic and I know what
you mean about Tron, the original with Jeff Bridges is a truly
wicked genius of a film and the remake, as you will already
know has that actor in it, which is a nice touch I think?
I am still enjoying Alien, it does seem rather aged now but it
is well worth another viewing even though it has been watched
so many times before
Enjoy your Thursday Heretic
