Based on the true-life story of the film’s director. The movie tells the story of a girl whom her father drops off at an orphanage after he remarries and how she struggles to overcome her abandonment and cope with her new surroundings.
I actually took a chance blindly on this movie because I had seen the main actress in the film “The Man From Nowhere” where she had put on a really great performance. Although this movie isn’t a bombastic action flick, it was just as enjoyable. The young actress did just as an impressive performance as in “The Man From Nowhere”, although the films are completely different.
I hate to repeat myself, but this was a really good movie. Yeah the overall story of the film is rather sad, but not entirely to the point where the movie is depressing all of the way through. It really kept my attention from beginning to end.
I would definitely suggest this film to anyone interested in seeing it, although it might depend on your attention span. As for the young actress who plays the lead in this film I hope she still keeps making films.
