Summer is pretty much coming to a close and it is time for everyone to gear up for fall. Parents making preparations for their children to go to school, as well as whatever arrangements need to be made when school lets out. The heat of summer will hopefully subside. I say hopefully because I pretty much live in a desert.
You know…that is one thing I have never quite understood, at least for where I live as I cannot talk about anywhere else. I don’t know what made a bunch of bootleggers, gamblers, hookers, etc. decide that the middle of the hot desert would be a great place to escape from the law to enjoy their exploits. But the desert? Really?
I know I made the promise when I got out of the summer semester that I would try to post as much as I could, unfortunately I ran into a snafu relating to the software that I use (I am writing this one through the WordPress editor) and that I need to re-purchase it. I am happy that I was able to get a few other things done, but I would have liked to have gotten some posts for WFTH written and released. I will make this up by doing a post in advance and when I have my software issue taken care of I will post it properly, which may happen soon or later.
Right now I am gearing up for the fall semester for school. Making sure I have my books purchased, class schedules written down, classroom numbers jotted down, bookbag re-organized. This will also be my final semester of college (I know some of my readers say Uni, which makes me feel funny to say since I am attending a community college). Hopefully by the end of this coming semester I will receive my certification and will be preparing for an internship which I will be sitting down with my counselor to discuss so I can see what options are available to me and what I need to do to seek them out and get what I am looking to do for a career.
I am still struggling with a lot of indecision and uncertainty in my personal life, which has also affected my creativity. I am hoping this new semester might bring something new; whether it be new challenges, new people to meet, and maybe some new inspiration. I cannot say, just hope.
I hope everyone has a great fall, and hope to keep in touch with those I have been and trying to keep in touch with. I do know that I am not the only one who is busy in their personal life.
On a side note!
I have decided to participate in a contest or just a review event over at Isaacs Picture Conclusions (AKA The IPC) called “SHITFEST”. Basically I submitted two bad reviews of movies I wasn’t too impressed with, being as harsh as I can be, something I normally don’t do on Words From The Heretic. I won’t lie, they are pretty harsh but was assured it was OK. So when they are up I will let anyone who is interested in reading them know.
